Preventive Care
During your visit for preventive care, your teeth will be examined after your teeth have been x-rayed and cleaned. Assessment for gum problems, tartar and calculus build-up, sensitivity and cavities, as well as suggestions and instructions on proper home maintenance will be provided by our Registered Dental Hygienists. Fluoride treatments will be completed at each appointment.
Periodontal Therapy
Each patient is closely monitored for gum problems during your routine cleaning appointments. Depths of pockets between teeth are monitored and measured. Referrals are made if severe periodontal problems are detected.
Crowns and Bridges
Permanent restorations call crowns (caps) or bridges are placed on teeth that are unable to be restored with simple filling material. There are different crowns available and will be discussed with the patient when treatment plans are made. Dental bridge work is optimal for patients with one or two missing teeth. The bridge is constructed as a one piece unit, giving the visual impression of the presence of all teeth restored. Crowns can be constructed of all porcelain, porcelain with a gold base, all metal crown or porcelain to metal bases.
Root Canals (Endodontics)
Root Canals are necessary when the decay has invaded the nerve of the tooth. Contrary to many impressions, root canals are virtually painless and a wonderful option to saving the tooth. Endodontic treatment requires two appointments with little discomfort.
Ulltrasonic Cleaning
During your cleaning and exam visit, your Dental Hygienist may choose to use our state of the art sonic scaler for removal of calculus and tartar. This alleviates friction against the teeth while cleaning with a gentle stream of water during scaling.
Sealants
Sealing deciduous teeth (baby teeth) with a white composite material prevents cavities in children's teeth in the chewing surface of the tooth.
Porcelain Crowns
Bleaching
Teeth that are discolored from smoking or beverages can, most of the time, be dramatically improved with bleaching the teeth. We provided bleach trays or bleach strips for the patients convenience.
White Fillings
White filling material may be used to fill teeth, therefore leaving a natural undisturbed structure to the teeth. White fillings are matched to the patients original shade to provide for a natural look.
Dentures and Partials
In the event teeth are unable to be restored, the option of full or partial dentures are available. With much effort, we construct dentures with the patients facial features taken into account: allowing for a complimentary and natural look to the dentures. We make only one type denture of the utmost quality and design.
When some teeth are able to be restored, the missing teeth can be replaced with a partial denture that is removable, We use a state of the are lab for the construction, using only the best material, and achieving the best fit and appearance to the partial denture.
Bonding
Teeth bonding is sometimes and option for covering the facial side of the teeth. The bonding material is tooth colored, leaving the appearance of a beautiful, white smile.
Repair
There are times when emergency repairs are needed to repair a broken denture, loose crowns, loss of fillings, and other dental procedures. Our office will make every effort to see you as soon as possible.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are for patients desiring to have the front appearance of the tooth to be whiter and, in some instances, straightened to a small degree. Some patients may choose this option to close gaps or spaces in teeth. Veneers do not require cutting away enamel. Veneers are placed with no anesthetic required. Ask today if veneers are an option for your dental need.
